About EDGcast

EDGcast is an independent sports analytics platform. We build prediction models, team rankings, player ratings, and matchup analysis across NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL, college football, college basketball, and WNBA, with more sports coming.

The project started from a simple goal: build a sports analytics platform that goes deep without being ugly or overwhelming. Rich data with real context, presented in a way that's actually enjoyable to explore. Player cards you want to screenshot. Matchup breakdowns that change how you watch the game. Rankings you can argue about with your friends.

Every sport gets its own model built from scratch around what actually drives outcomes in that game. College basketball keys on style fingerprints and roster construction. Baseball keys on pitcher-lineup matchups and Statcast pitch data. NBA keys on team efficiency and player impact. The models are different because the sports are different.

We hold out data when training so models are evaluated on games they haven't seen. Results are graded as they come in, and we keep the scorecard honest because transparency builds more trust than marketing ever could.

We're a small team of engineers and analysts who like building things and watching sports. EDGcast is where those two interests collide.
